Column Board Systems

Designed to the highest standards, our column board range provides the ultimate concept in writing board surfaces.

Featuring a maintenance free design, the writing boards sit between vertical aluminium columns. Counter weights control the vertical movement of the boards allowing each to sit at the ideal writing or display height.

The column board consists of two matt silver anodised aluminium columns. Smoothly running boards move up and down independent of or dependent on each other.

Single-sided boardsurfaces aremagnetic vitreous enamel steel whiteboards with square edge strips and full length shelf in matt anodised aluminium. The boards can slide up and down over the full height of the column standard stop above the floor is 120 mm. Fittings and wires, etc. are hidden in the columns.

The system can be extended with several columns on top of and in continuation of each other. A projection or a writing board can be mounted behind the column board.

If a motor operated projection screen is used together with a column board, the system is to be equipped with a control system. It will in this case only be possible to angle the projection screen when the writing board is at its lowest point.

The independently moving column boards are available in a motor operated model (24V) with programmable, logic control (PLC) of both the writing board and the projection board.

Heriot Watt University Business School

Spaceright Europe installed a three column board system each with two vitreous enamel white dry marker boards guaranteed for twenty-five years. In addition, a fixed projection screen and a manual tilt projection screen completed this installation. This illustration shows a typical three-board column system, which is available in widths up to 5m.

The movement of the boards is controlled by either a precision engineered counter-balance system or alternatively an electric drive. Surface options are either chalk or dry wipe.

Writing surfaces:
Steel enamel, green, for use with chalk, accepts magnets. Steel enamel, white, for use with dry-wipe markers.

Frame and tray:
Rounded anodized aluminium profile.

Columns:
Guiding columns made of aluminium profile with ball bearing nylon roles. For 1 to 3 boards, one behind the other or next to each other (Column height: up to 5.5mColumn depth: approx. 40 cm(with a triple board) Attachment: floor and wall fixation

Additional equipment:
Markings available on request. L a r g e tray over the entire board length. Wide range of available projection screens, manual or electric.

Electric drive:
Noiseless compact drives per board, hidden in the columns. Rate of drop/lift: approx. 10 m/min; When overloaded or obstructed by an obstacle, the automatic safety disconnection at the end positions, sets in.

Controls:
Switches on the front of the column; to your choice: left or right sides; Control safety cut-off switch option.

Electrical connection:
24 V, low safety voltage; transformer in the separate switchbox; no mains voltage on the board ! Short circuit proof electronic control. Simultaneous operation of two ormore surfaces, also in opposite direction is possible. Protective circuit in case of contact between boards and a tilted projection screen.

Wiring is to a large extent invisible.
