Writing boards may be specified as white for
drymarkers or black for chalk writing.Spaceright Europe Ltd writing boards are available as rigid, framed writing boards or as rollerboards which have a rotatable, impermeably coated textile surface of two, three or four connected, replaceable sections.
Whiteboards
Whiteboards for drymarkers are popular for
cleanliness and appearance and whilst drymarker
pens are more expensive than chalk, this can be
offset by a reduction in cleaning costs. Work on
drymarker boards may be erased from the glossy
sur face using a clean cloth or tissue and it is
recommended that they are cleaned periodically using
a clean cloth and fresh water or a designated
whiteboard cleaning solution. Permanent markers or
marker pens not designated for the purpose may
disfigure the sur face permanently, although Spaceright Europe Ltd is able to offer a cleaner which is capable of
removing most permanent markers. There is a wide
range of drymarker pens available of varying quality
and per formance. For health and safety reasons
xylene-free pens are recommended and tend to be
less corrosive to the surface of the board.
All our non-magnetic whiteboards are double-sided.
One side is a plain standard whiteboard, the other
side is our popular GRIDGUIDE surface. This is a feint
25mm grid to aid presentations and teaching, by
providing guide-squares for graphs and char ts and
guidelines for writing in a straight line.
Our 5 year guarantee each side continues to apply,
as the grid is below the sur face and does not wear
out over a period of time. The person writing on the
board can see the gridguide, yet it is invisible to those
viewing the board from a few feet away.
Chalkboards
Chalkboards are the traditional teaching medium that has served the profession so well and so long and it has been suggested that students with learning difficulties such as dyslexia or with visual impairment are able to read white on black more readily.
